Mounting hype surrounding the Balenciaga Speed Trainer that made the knit silhouette one of best sneakers of 2017 won’t falter in the new year. Largely because the shoe is great and has a lot of life left, but also due to the fact that everyone that wants a pair still doesn’t have one yet.

Widely limited throughout much of the first half of 2017, the shoe became more available in the latter part of the year and persists in its availability in 2018. A new variation of the model recently launched in a sleek black base with white logo branding stamped throughout the sock-like structure. Memory sole technology cements cushioning within the white midsole alongside a black rubber outer heightened by shock absorption.

The Balenciaga Speed Trainer “Logo” is priced at $795 and available now at Bergdorf Goodman.
