Initially released to mixed reviews that soon subsided when pairs begin to circulate among sneaker culture royalty, Don C’s Jordan Legacy 312 has slowly become the shoe everyone thought it would be. Following the first wave of colorways earlier this summer, the second installment is set to release this weekend with inspiration from some of Don’s favorite sporting heroes and impactful themes within their respective signature sneaker collections.
From two-sport legend Bo Jackson to tennis icon Andre Agassi, Don looks to aspirational figures to drive his progressive design language. Fueled by a collection of athletes and the signature shoes they wore, it’s those very stories that supply the collection with focus and direction.
In a vacuum, the Jordan Legacy 312 represents modern storytelling through ambitious design language. Encompassing elements of the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3 and Nike Air Alpha Force Low — which MJ wore briefly in 1988 — the true legacy here is formed through collaboration like this one with Don and Jordan Brand. It began, of course, with three widely touted Air Jordan 2s, all of which fetch large sums on the secondary market.
Expect the Jordan Legacy 312 “Nike” Pack featuring the “Command Force,” “Hot Lava” and “Medicine Ball” colorways on August 11 at select retailers like Livestock.
