Coming out of the University of Southern California, DeMar DeRozan was on everybody’s radar.
The Compton native was a star before entering the league. DeRozan was a member of the McDonald’s All-American Team in 2008 and was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team and picked as Pac-10 Tournament MVP in his first and only season with the USC Trojans. The number nine overall pick from the 2009 draft was meant to be special.
After nine years with the Toronto Raptors, DeRozan was renown as a killer with the ball in his hands. Although the shooting guard was traded to the San Antonio Spurs over the summer, DeRozan is thriving under Coach Popovich.
Aside from all of his accolades, DeRozan is one of the few players in the league that has been blessed to some exclusive heat that derives from Kobe Bryant’s signature line, including his very own Nike Kobe 1 Protro PE.
