This past weekend saw the release of the Air Jordan 11 in “Silver Anniversary” trim and many heads panicking to get their own pair of the ultra-popular silhouette. Since we first saw that rendition of the Retro 11, many have complained about the lack of a Jumpman logo near the shoe’s ankle. For 25 special sneaker lovers though, that was not a concern.
JB has taken a lot of flack for the way it’s gone about releasing retros lately, but on Saturday the powers that be proved that they still “get it.” 25 pairs were randomly released with the Jumpman logo stitched on the upper. Under the insole of the left shoe of these shoes, another special patch can be seen with individual numbering. While the resale market has placed the value of the standard issue shoe at just over $300, one can only wonder what it will cost to get your hands on a 1 of 25 pair of Air Jordans.
