With the popularity of inline Air Max 90s down at the moment, it’s important for Nike to use the shoe for other verticals. Virgil Abloh’s “The Ten” is a prime example, showing the timeless silhouette in a light far outside the cozy confines of traditional color blocking material usage.

Among the few offshoots that took inline 90s to greater heights was the “Moon Landing” pair back in 2014. Now, a follow-up appears to be in the works.

The Nike Air Max 90 “Mars Landing” is next up to orbit a galactic theme that never seems to grow old with Swoosh enthusiast — and with good reason.

Removed from the craters of the moon landing theme, dark reddish-orange will be a dominant aesthetic lead for the Mars-enthused Air Max 90. And while no official images of the “Mars Landing” 90s are readily available, py_rates anticipates the release in mid-March. Stay tuned for more.
