Last night, one could argue that Giannis Antetokounmpo was the star of stars in the 2019 NBA All-Star Game.
Leading the team of his own namesake in scoring to the tune of 38 points, the Greek Freak was phenomenal. Dropping dunk after dunk – including an alley-oop off a skyscraper bounce pass from Steph Curry – there was times he was bullying Bron and showing shades of dominance while rocking his own Nike Kobe 4 Protro PE.
While Big G is currently cooking defenders in looks from the Mamba’s line, it’s well known that he will be scoring his own signature in the months to come. Leaked images give us an idea of what it will look like, leaning on a backwards Swoosh that makes up the midsole.
Though it’s expected that his official sig will smash, Nice Kicks alum and current design student Cam White has a crafted a concept that’s strong enough to be the sequel.
Pulling from the point forward’s Greek heritage, All-Star glow and Nike Basketball history, the Nike Adapt HyperFreak is as strong as the player it was made for.
Taking cues from the Zoom Turbine and Greek sandals, the concept kicks feature Nike’s new HyperAdapt technology and fluid lines that find us fawning over old Alpha Project designs.
As stated, these are just an idea hatched in design school. With that said, would you like to see something laceless like this lace Giannis in the future?
