Converse hasn’t stalled with its ongoing onslaught of collaborative Chuck 70s.
At this point, there are more pairs than we care to reference. Equally important, however, are the number of pairs that have impressed.
Another to place within the favorable column is the “New Warriors” pack produced by Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER.
Coveting opposing tribe wars in cult classic 70s cinema, the black and white set highlights boot zippers at the model’s centermost point alongside an “NW” patch at the collar.
An alternative lace structure and metal ring eyelets add to the boot theme that was often worn in the films of note. In punctuation, “New Warriors” is written across the rubber toe cap on each pair. This, of course, primarily pulls from The Warriors circa 1979.
