South African retailer Shelflife knew exactly what they wanted to do when presented with a chance to collaborate with adidas Consortium. They wanted to approach their collab with a fearlessness Consortium releases are known for.

With the same distinction and eye-catching appeal that has made them a trailblazer since opening 2006, Shelflife employs understated yet luxurious greyscale nubuck against woven underlays that tie into the historic craftsmanship of South Africa. In contrast, however, the medial side of the shoe shows a vibrant jacquard-printed panel that offsets the simple greyscale approach.
