sacai x Nike LDV Waffle Releases in Monochromatic Colorways

In 2019, the Nike x sacai LDV Waffle took over the sneaker world by storm. Its unique design and standout colorways have helped to propel the sacai collaboration into what many sneaker enthusiasts considered the sneaker of the year. Since then, sacai has capitalized on the hype surrounding their Nike sneaker collaborations, teasing their Nike Pegasus Vaporfly SP collaboration, and now finally their “Black Nylon” and “White Nylon” colorways of the LDV Waffle.

First featured in sacai’s Fall/Winter 2020 showcase at Paris Fashion Week, the Nike x sacai “Black Nylon” and “White Nylon” have received the attention of many. Similar to the original releases, this sneaker boasts a double tongue, double stacked midsole, and double swoosh. Additionally, the waffle outsole provides a vintage aesthetic that dates back to the original Nike Waffle sneaker. Unlike the original set of LDV Waffles however, these two new colorways feature a monochromatic nylon upper rather than a colorful mesh upper. Further details like the double paneling, suede accents, ribbon-styled flat laces, and the bold NIKE logo on the rear portion encapsulate the attention that sacai has placed into crafting one of the most innovative silhouettes to release in the recent past.
