Originally unveiled during Dior’s Fall 2020 Runway show in December of last year, the collaborative Dior x Air Jordan 1 sneaker instantly became one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Having been pushed back a few times, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dior x Air Jordan 1 finally released over the weekend.
According to chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, Pietro Beccari, five million people signed up to buy the Dior Air Jordan 1s, who confirmed the numbers with WWD.
Only 8,000 pairs of both the Dior x Air Jordan 1 High ($2,200) and Dior x Air Jordan 1 Low ($2,000) were made available, while an additional 5,000 pairs were given out to Dior’s top clients.
If you weren’t able to get your hands on a pair, the Jordan Dior apparel capsule is set to release on July 8 at Dior boutiques around the world. For the latest information on upcoming Jordans, be sure to check out our dedicated page for new Jordans.
