Over the last few years adidas has made it clear that their technology used is angled toward the future. From BOOST, to Futurecraft, Parley collaborations and 4D, they have proven time and again how they are setting new standards. Now launching as part of their Space Race collaboration with NASA, adidas is combining a few technologies presenting the latest Ultra4D.

This model will look familiar to some, but It features a few interesting aspects. Rather than the Primeknit we’ve all grown to love, adidas incorporates Primeblue, a recycled material made with Parley Ocean Plastic. With its Silver Primeblue upper, the model substitutes the classic adidas tongue branding a NASA inspired planetary logo instead. The midfoot cage and heel cup are dipped in a Metallic Silver which features Solar Red Ultra4D branding. A Halo Silver 4D lattice supports the uppers and is reflective as well to complete a space-inspired model. Flat Silver laces and a Black latticed outsole wrap up this model’s aesthetic.

While we’re excited by this futuristic rendition of the Ultra4D, the introduction of Primeblue to the silhouette is very inspiring. A fitting continuation for a series which has seen numerous UltraBOOST & NMD drops, let’s see what adidas has prepared for the future. The pair will be dropping on December 3rd exclusively via the adidas app, so make sure to be ready! As always, stay up to date with the most recent drops from the Three Stripes!
