Following a collaborative Classic Leather and Club C, sportswear giant Reebok and legendary French fashion house Maison Margiela are set to re-release their luxurious Classic Leather Tabi rendition. Having originally dropped earlier this year, the highly coveted Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi will once again boast a hand-painted “Bianchetto” outfit.
The house’s creative director, John Galliano, expertly injects Maison Margiela’s design ethos into the classic silhouette, such as the now-iconic split-toe which was created in 1988. Nappa leather is used to construct the sneaker, while underneath an EVA sole is used. Throughout, Maison’s signature “Bianchetto” technique is spotlighted, which features a hand-brushed white coating on the model’s black leather base that naturally chips away over time and wear.
Interested readers will be able to purchase the Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi “Bianchetto” when it releases this Friday, April 9 at 10 am EST via Reebok.com and Maison Margiela’s online shop. The pair will retail for $350.
