Nike Adds the Waffle One to Its “Exeter Edition” Lineup

Next to join Nike’s “Exter Edition” Pack of sneakers honoring Nike’s first official employee, Jeff Johnson, and his arrival at Exeter, New Hampshire in 1974 is the Waffle One silhouette.

This Nike Waffle One “Exeter Edition” sports a mixed textile upper dressed in various vibrant hues to honor Johnson’s genius craftsmanship. Johnson was known for collecting excess waste materials from local vendors and turning them into sneaker combos that had never been seen before. For this release, mesh is used for the base while mismatched nubuck overlays in Neon and Blue find themselves on the lateral and medial Swoosh insignias. Below, a Nike Grind rubber outsole helps to round out the final design cues.

Check out the official images of the Nike Waffle One “Exeter Edition” and look for the pair to release in the upcoming weeks via select retailers and Nike.com. The pair will retail for $100.
