A year after the first A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Aeon Active CX, Samuel Ross presents the all-new A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Aeon Active CX “Dyed Programme.” This limited collection experiments with processes and colors as A-COLD-WALL* worked with two dye facilities in Italy and the UK to submerge the sneakers in the vats of dye.
Being that these sneakers are hand-dyed, no two sneakers are alike and each pair will come with its certificate of authenticity from ACW.
Being that the Aeon Active CX is one of the most unique Converse sneakers, it’s only right that A-COLD-WALL* brings their futuristic aesthetic to the silhouette. The sneaker is completely laceless and has a slip-on structure with a molded crater foam sole.
The sneaker comes ready in four separate colorways: “Solarised,” “Carbon,” “Redox,” and “Marine.” Depending on the colorway, the shoe either displays the original colors behind a thinner, more transparent coating of dye, or will be loaded with the select color of choice.
The “Solarised” iteration is the standout pair from the collection as it has a tainted green midsole with a dyed grey upper made of mesh. The colors of the carious accents and overlays are all tied together through the sneaker’s overarching tint applied by the dye.
As for the “Carbon,” “Redox,” and “Marine” colorways, these sneaker have a monochromatic finish in black, red, and blue. All four of the pairs feature A-COLD-WALL* coding on the side with ACW branding on the forefoot and Converse text placed on the tongue.
The A-COLD-WALL* x Converse AAEON ACTIVE CX “Dyed Programme” has a staggered launch, with the “Solarised” colorway being available now on Farfetch. The “Carbon” colorway launches in May and the “Redox” and “Marine” colorways drop in June.
