Over the years, the Nike Air Foamposite One has grown in popularity, price, and abundance of colorways. Championed by the likes of Penny Hardaway and Mike Bibby on the hardwood, the shoe is a favorite among sneakerheads off the court. With the release of this weekend’s “Sport Royal” colorway, we recount all of the Nike Air Foamposite One releases.

“Dark Neon Royal”

Released: 1997, January 2007, July 2008 & February 12, 2011

The original “Dark Neon Royal” colorway launched in 1997 to somewhat skeptical reviews. Daring design, progressive technology and a sky high price tag didn’t make the OG Foams a hot seller upon launch. Still, the intrigue surrounding the shoe and its basketball moments made the colorway a classic year later.

Black/Black

Released: August 2007

Years before the “Stealths” the Nike Air Foamposite One returned as a retro in a then-new Black/Black colorway. These were relatively hard to find as Foamposites were not in high demand across the country. Most releases were allocated heavily in DC and NYC and not even released in certain cities. Contrary to the “Stealths,” this pair packs a solid outsole.
