A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 5 “Dawn” Releases Soon

Jordan Brand and James Whitner’s A Ma Maniére continue to redefine collaborations as the Jumpman and the premium boutique are delivering a set of Air Jordan 5s with the “Still We Rise” collection, which includes the A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 5 “Dawn” and the A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 5 “Dusk” colorways.

The collection continues A Ma Maniere’s mission of centering the Black experience as the visuals and story draw inspiration from Maya Angelou’s “Still I Rise” poem and James Baldwin’s “To be African American is to be African without any memory and American without any privilege” quote.

“Black identity is not a monolith and the Black experience isn’t uniform. It is our diversity that is our strength, we are unified in more ways than the world wants us to believe,” said Whitaker Group Owner and Founder James Whitner in a press release. “All our previous stories led into this moment, building this first chapter we now bring to a close by opening our arms out to the world to bring us all in, across our communities, the diaspora and the world to celebrate unity and culture — but also the one common experience we all have: being desired for your culture, never being told that you belong, but still showing up to do the work — from dusk til dawn.”

The A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 5 “Dawn” features a washed grey and blue combination with yellowed aged details. Drawing from Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan 5 PE, the shoe features “23” heel counter branding as well. A Ma Maniere’s signature “A” appears in monogram form on the AJ5’s netting as well as the shoe’s lining.

The general raffle and local priority access for the A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 5 “Dawn” begins on November 6 at A Ma Maniére, Social Status, APB and Prosper locations nationwide. The shoe will release in full-family sizing on November 17 at A-Ma-Maniere.com. The shoe will see a wider release on November 22 at select retailers and SNKRS.
