A Ma Maniere brings its street regal aesthetic to the Air Jordan 1 with the “Airness” colorway. This ultra-luxe design comes at no surprise as A Ma Maniere’s brand tradition of classic, timeless, and luxury is showcased in this upcoming collaborative sneaker.

The A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 1 High OG is made of tones of rich “Burgundy Crush” and timeless “Sail.” Premium burgundy snakeskin dresses the Nike Swoosh and the upper lining of the sneaker. Other intricate details include metal lace tips with the A Ma Maniere signature, which appears again on the tongue tab and the insole. To complete the sneaker, Whitner incorporates a Michael Jordan quote on the inside of the ankle tab: “You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.”

The sneaker is “inspired by the Black community’s pride, power, influence, and resilience in the face of adversity and injustice, and the project serves as an ode to uplift the Black community and celebrate the power of its unified voice” The Whitaker Group said via press release.

A Ma Maniere has produced and released a short film called “Airness” which tells the backstory and inspiration for the brand’s upcoming projects and initiatives. Narrated by Jordan Brand Chairman Larry Miller, the short film highlights the Black community’s pride, power, influence, and resilience amidst constant injustice, exploitation, and adversity.

A Ma Maniere Founder and Whitaker Group Owner and Founder James Whitner stated in a press release about the short film, “In the world of sneakers and fashion, holding up the mirror shouldn’t always just reveal what you want to see but perhaps what you should see.
