Sports are often more than just a game, and skateboarding has been identified to have engaging and therapeutic effects. A.skate is a non-profit foundation that was created to introduce kids with autism to the benefits of riding a board, and they are now entering the footwear community by co-creating the A.skate x Vans Era Laceless Pro. Rolled out for a good cause in Spring 2014, these Vans Era Laceless Pro are the first-ever performance model to join the Vans Pro Skate line. Skate upgrades and an easy closure option make for the perfect combination of usable, stylish and simple. Grey and white keep it subtle, while custom “Obsessed to Skate” insole artwork by Jay Croft represents A.skate’s mission to channel obsessive tendency energy through skateboarding. A portion of the profit from each A.skate x Vans Era will go to support the cause nationwide. Watch A.Skate’s mission video below, and find a pair of their Eras today at Vans.
