Harlem son A$AP Nast is not so quietly one of the better-dressed men in hip hop. He’s certainly not overt, but his signature preppy street style is all his own, very much modern while equally resonate in the Harlem dandiness that came before him during the Black Renaissance.
This was felt when Nast dropped his first Converse collaboration, in which he applied plaid goodness to the timeless Chuck 70 and produced a clever mustard-colored, corduroy One Star. Now in his second act, he opts for the Jack Purcell Ox with remnants of the One Star.
The shoe quickly becomes a mid-cut style while utilizing canvas construction, rubber foxing, and flat black laces. One Star branding rounds of the heel of the shoe melding the Purcell.

Update 3/20: Nike has officially revealed the A$AP Nast x Converse NST2 collaboration ahead of its release this weekend on March 22. Nast joined with Converse footwear designers Julian Guzman and Matt Sleep to give the Jack Purcell a utilitarian aesthetic that odes his love for the outdoors.
“The silhouette is functional, durable. It’s intriguing. I wanted to craft a style that could be worn every day,” says Nast. Alongside the two Jack Purcell colorways, the collection also features two crew sweatshirts, matching crew sweatpants and a set of vintage wordmark tees.
