adidas is once again setting the pace with its latest innovation in the Adizero line — the Adizero Adios Pro 4.
Officially unveiled ahead of the fall marathon season, the Adizero Adios Pro 4 takes the brand’s podium-dominating tech and adds a new edge for speed-hungry runners looking to break records. Whether you’re chasing a world record or looking to beat your own personal best, this shoe is built to deliver.
Taking inspiration from the world-record-breaking phenomenon, the Adios Pro Evo 1, the Adios Pro 4 introduces a revamped forefoot rocker point geometry. Placed at 60% of the shoe’s length, this geometry propels runners forward, making each stride feel faster and more efficient. The full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole enhances this sensation with a lighter, softer underfoot feel — perfect for long runs when fatigue starts to set in.
The upper also gets an upgrade with a new lightweight Lightlock material. It’s designed with a one-way stretch woven mesh that hugs the foot without feeling restrictive. Add in a lacing system built for a locked-down fit, and you’ve got a shoe that feels secure, even when you’re pushing the pace.
Additionally, adidas has re-engineered the outsole with a data-mapped Lighttraxion pattern. Tested with some of the best athletes around the world, including those in Kenya and Japan, this new sole provides grip where it’s needed most, ensuring that you stay grounded even at high speeds.
The adidas Adizero Adios Pro 4 releases in January 2025 for $250 via adidas.com and select retailers.
