Driven by a juxtaposition of outdoor aesthetics and street sensibility, adidas Originals today debuts its widely anticipated new Atric F/22 PK.

Birthing a foundational Primeknit fabrication fueled by Merino wool material, a wide assortment of themes are represented in this moccasin-styled silhouette. There’s the aforementioned outdoor expression that appears apparent with one look at the low-cut model. In addition, utilitarian and technical sensibilities shape the functional design that takes a relatively winter centric material and turns it into summer-friendly wear.

Merino wool is super-fine in its sleek, moisture-wicking build. It’s also water-resistant, breathes exceptionally well, and if you’ve ever worn a Merino sweater, understand its high-level comfort. Placed on the shoe in a style that tracks back to vintage EQT silos and adidas’ 2001 Water Moccasin model, the shoe gets its name from an aperture setting in professional photography — a principle that was foundational to this shoe’s design process.

The adidas Atric F/22 PK will release alongside an apparel collection that follows the same design outlook. Expect the release on May 3 at adidas.com/artic.
