Yesterday, adidas Basketball hosted a global media group in Las Vegas for their biggest technical innovation in years. Following 2013’s introduction of adidas Boost technology to the world of running, the celebrated cushioning is now bouncing onto the hardwood.
Taking place at the world famous MGM Arena, former NBA star and current commentator Greg Anthony greeted a room of reporters ready to see the new kicks. With help from adidas Design Director Robbie Fuller and All-Star guards Derrick Rose and Damian Lillard, it was announced that adidas Boost technology would come to both the D Rose and Crazylight franchises. The adidas D Rose 5 features Boost at full strength, backed by the signature styling associated with the D Rose line. The adidas Crazylight Boost is equipped with Boost foam in the heel, focused on balancing lightweight comfort with solid support and cushioning.
Following the unveiling, media members were given the chance to talk to the athletes and adidas Basketball team about the new tech and the next season. Even better, all got a chance to try out the Crazylight Boost in friendly 3-on-3s game against the likes of Joakim Noah, Jeff Teague, Arron Afflalo, Marcus Smart, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jrue Holiday.
