Imagine producing a product in 1/9th the standard manufacturing time. For the adidas Speed Factory, this isn’t imagination but rather reality.

Cutting manufacturing time down from 18 months to two, the adidas Speed Factory has revolutionized the way sneakers are made. And for a shoe that built for speed, it’s pretty ironic how fast this shoe is made.

Taking its talents to MoTown, the Speedfactory Adidas AM4 released in special fashion for the opening of the Foot Locker Detroit Power Store.

PENSOLE alum and designer Kayla Donaldson is the mind behind this design as she sketched this shoe using only post it notes and sharpies. In our recent trip to Detroit, we took an inside look on the design process.

Designer, Kayla Donaldson with PENSOLE Founder, D’wayne Edwards explaining the design process of the shoe.

Releasing only 100 pairs with NFC technology. This allows you to scan the tongue of the shoe to see what number shoe you have. The adidas Speed Factory AM4DET sold out immediately upon its release at the Detroit Foot Locker Power Store.

For more limited sneakers, pull up to the new Power Store in Detroit at 17755 East 8 Mile Road, Eastpointe, MI 48021.
