The adidas Climamog is The Next Chapter of 3D-Printed Footwear

adidas continues to push the boundaries of innovation and design as the all-new adidas Climamog will be the Three Stripes’ latest 3D-printed creation.

adidas’ 3D-printed footwear journey started back in 2015 with the debut of the adidas Futurecraft 3D. The groundbreaking concept featured a 3D-printed midsole, offering sneakerheads a glimpse into the future of performance-driven footwear.

Fast forward to 2017, and adidas dropped the Futurecraft 4D, this time with a 3D-printed midsole using a new process called Digital Light Synthesis (DLS). The process, in development with Carbon, utilized liquid resin, UV light, and oxygen to craft a lattice-structured midsole that provided precision-tuned cushioning for athletes with an eye-catching look.

In the following years, the industry saw the release of several iterations of 3D-printed sneakers, including the AlphaEdge 4D and 4D Fusion models. The 4D tech has also crossed over into streetwear with collaborations from Kith, Daniel Arsham, and Pharrell Williams, bringing the hype appeal to the table.

As 3D printing continues to blend over into everyday life, adidas is preparing for the next phase as the adidas Climamog has surfaced.

While the Climamog has appeared online and in specific overseas markets, the brand has yet to officially comment on its release. The shoe, likely part of the Climacool line known for ventilation technology, stands out for its advanced, highly breathable design.

So far, two colorways have surfaced. In addition to the white/black pair that initially surfaced the adidas Climamog “Off-White” arrives in a monochromatic look with its subtle lateral Three Stripe branding.

The adidas Climamog “Off-White” is speculated to arrive in early 2025. A price point has not been disclosed.
