It’s no secret that Run DMC has been pivotal in the global awareness of adidas brand. More intimately, Rev Run, DMC and Jam Master Jay, were influential in making the adidas Superstar a cultural phenomenon. The Three Stripes continues to pay homage to the late DJ/Producer with a special edition Pro Model.
The shoes were debuted by Shake, a close friend of Jay’s who is known to debut memorabilia surrounding the legendary crew member. “Jay” appears at the heel of the shoe in gold script while the shoe remains true to OG form otherwise.
According to Complex, this adidas Pro Model will not see a general release. It’s said that the shoes were crafted for Shake and DMC and no other pairs are in circulation.
