The city of Chicago isn’t just where Derrick Rose goes to work, it is where #1 was born and raised. Inspired by Rose’s basketball roots and region, adidas has created the adidas D Rose 4 “Chicago Southside”. Chi-Town’s Southside is where adidas’ poster boy played his decorated prep ball at Simeon High School, whose colors were royal and yellow. This new style code of Rose’s latest signature amplifies Simeon’s traditional colors into a blue and electricity combination.
“I never forget where I came from and the path I took to get here,” said Rose. “The first time I played for my city on a big stage I wore these colors, and that’s why I love these. It’s a color I can wear to show pride and let my fans know more about where I’m from.”
Two Illinois Class AA State Championships, McDonald’s All-American honors and Illinois Mr. Basketball, and now D Rose has his own signature sneaker to commemorate his time at Simeon High School. The adidas D Rose 4 “Chicago Southside” will release on October 10th for $140.
