The 2017-18 NBA season was one of ups and downs for Derrick Rose. After beginning the year with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Rose, following career reassessment and suffering an ankle injury, found himself again on the outs. He was traded by the Cavs to the Utah Jazz only to be subsequently waived by the team. Rose then signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves and his former coach during his 2011 MVP season, Tom Thibodeau.
In the midst of it all, there was uncertainly surrounding his future with adidas Basketball and his signature collection. Those concerns can now rest aside, as the adidas D Rose 9 has been revealed and vindicated with summer release details.
Constructed in a lightweight knit build, Rose’s ninth signature shoe also comes with an inner bootie and extended pull tab. Adiwear rubber tooling joins Bounce cushioning which appears to take the place of Boost. Leaked catalog images of the D Rose 9 suggests that the shoe will release this summer beginning in July.
Rose first debuted the shoe during the 2018 NBA Playoffs. This White/Black-Pink colorway looks to be the silhouettes initial retail colorway.
