Donovan Mitchell hit a career-high and Cleveland Cavaliers franchise record after he scored 71 points against the Chicago Bulls on Monday, January 2nd. To celebrate, adidas will be donating $71,000 to Donovan Mitchell’s Spidacares Foundation and has lowered the price of every D.O.N. Issue #4 to $71.
Adidas previously ran a similar promotion in 2020 when they dropped the price of the Dame 6 to $61 after Mitchell dropped 61 points against the Dallas Mavericks, when the Spidaman was still with the Portland Trailblazers.
The Cavaliers game against the Bulls on Monday went into overtime, with Mitchell scoring 55 pts in the second half, 13 points in OT, eight rebounds, and 11 assists. Mitchell went 22-of-34 from the field and made 7 out of 15 three-pointers, allowing the Cavs to come back from a 21-point deficit to beat the Bulls.
Mitchell and the Cavaliers currently stand fourth in the Eastern Conference and are set to face the Denver Nuggets tomorrow, January 6th.
