With the start of the 2024-25 NBA season looming closer, adidas is dropping a new bold color scheme for Donovan Mitchell’s latest and greatest signature shoe, the DON Issue #6 “Spida Bite”.
Inspired by Mitchell’s Spida nickname, the adidas D.O.N. Issue #6 “Spida Bite” brings a fierce update to Donovan Mitchell’s signature sneaker line, which sees the signature silhouette dipped in a stealthy all-black upper with contrasting hits of solar red and lucid blue inspired by his Spida nickname. It’s also said that the contrasting hits are a reference to to moment Peter Parker becomes Spider-Man after being bitten.
But a sleek color scheme is not all that the pair offers. Performance-wise, the D.O.N. Issue #6 doesn’t compromise. It offers exceptional comfort, thanks to a breathable mesh upper that promotes airflow and minimizes friction during intense play, while the pair’s midfoot harness system ensures lockdown for stability during fast, multidirectional movements. Additionally, the shoe utilizes adidas’ Lightstrike cushioning technology, providing lightweight responsiveness to enhance speed and agility on the court.
The adidas D.O.N. Issue #6 “Spida Bite” is available now via select retailers for $120.
