Will the next great footwear designer please stand up? Such a star may be on their way thanks to a new partnership between adidas and PENSOLE. The global footwear giant has teamed up with the well-regarded design academy to offer the next generation of talent a chance to not only sharpen their skills, but the opportunity to present their designs to adidas execs for a chance to see their work produced and sold at adidas stores.
Led by PENSOLE founder D’Wayne Edwards, the program is dedicated to giving design students of all backgrounds an opportunity to work with and learn from the best in the industry. Perspective design students can apply by submitting their own original adidas footwear sketch to PENSOLE.com by July 27th. Following submissions, a list of 15 accepted applicants will be posted on August 4th. Scholarships for tuition and housing will be awarded by adidas to the accepted applicants, with classes running from September 2nd to September 19th in Portland.
