In Travis Scott’s “SICKO MODE,” Drake confirms that he is staying with Nike by rapping, “Checks over stripes/That’s what I like.” But while Drake prefers Nike, the rest of North America actually doesn’t as according to Emma Thomasson of Reuters, adidas’ sales outpaced the Swoosh in sales second quarter growth.

Here’s more from Thomasson:

adidas reported strong second-quarter results on Thursday, as its sales growth outpaced rival Nike in North America where new styles are proving popular even as the German sportswear brand stagnated in western Europe.

Shares in the company famous for its three-stripe brand soared more than 10 percent to a four-month high, putting them on track for their best day since the group increased its financial guidance in March.

Thomasson also reports that adidas’ promotion of the Ultra Boost running shoes and the Parley line led to increasing sales. Also according to Thomasson, adidas not oversupplying old styles and Kanye West’s celebrity endorsement were key factors in the brand’s Q2 growth.
