adidas is gearing up to compete in the world of motorsport as the German sportswear brand officially partners with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team. To celebrate the newly founded partnership, adidas Motorsport has unveiled its debut collection inspired by the “DNA” of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team.
The adidas Motorsport x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS “DNA” Collection allows the global F1 fanbase to purchase the authentic performance wear worn by the entire Mercedes team in the paddock. Everyone—from Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS drivers George Russell, Kimi Antonelli and Valtteri Bottas to the engineers, mechanics and support staff—will be outfitted in the “DNA” collection.
The range features the official driver kits in the Mercedes-AMG team colors, including the signature PETRONAS Green. Each jersey is crafted with a hexagon fabric pattern, symbolizing the team’s philosophy of efficiency, connection and stability.
The “DNA” range also extends to engineers and mechanics, offering performance wear made from lightweight AEROREADY fabric for optimal airflow in the high-heat paddock. Each piece prioritizes flexibility and comfort, incorporating vents, collar inserts to prevent jerseys from sticking to the back of the neck, and reflective details for high visibility on the track. The tailored fit of the polos and T-shirts enhances mobility, ensuring peak performance in high-pressure environments.
The debut “DNA” collection also introduces 10 footwear options, including the adidas SL 72 RS, Lightblaze, Barreda Decoda, Acesmash Mid, Supernova Rise 2, Ultraboost 5X and the AdiLette Comfort Slide. adidas also developed a brand-new sneaker, the adidas Feroza, inspired by the early-2000s adi Racer silhouette. The archived adi Racer sneaker makes its grand return for the adidas Motorsport x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 partnership, in both its High and Lo iterations.
Beyond the “DNA” collection, the adidas Motorsport x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS debut also introduces the “Premium Sweat” and “Tonal” collections, offering elevated lifestyle pieces for everyday wear.
The “Premium Sweat” range consists of contemporary styles made from high-quality, all-cotton French terry fabric in a minimalist color palette of beige and white. The collection exudes an understated luxury, with subtle team branding across pieces such as T-shirts, hoodies and sweatsuits.
The “Tonal” range offers similar options, featuring T-shirts and sweats made from premium woven fleece. Like the “DNA” and “Premium Sweat” collections, the “Tonal” range bridges performance and lifestyle, incorporating Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS team colors in a muted pastel palette suited for both the paddock and everyday wear.
