The adidas Basketball category will ironically get a boost later this year when a budding Boost basketball sneaker emerges.

First seen here today via adidas catalog renderings, the new silhouette, titled the adidas Marquee Boost, will come in both Mid and Low variations at the close of 2018 and early 2019 — in time for the 2018-19 NBA season.

With a technical appeal that can be likened to the Alexander Wang x Three Stripes collaborations, mesh construction marks much of the upper while a molded ankle collar gives the shoe greater density and padding. Full-length Boost is the silhouette’s greatest technical feature while a herringbone outer provides ideal traction.

It’s reported that the adidas Marquee Boost Mid ($150) will release in December 2018 while the Low ($140) will follow in February 2019.
