2016 has without a doubt been the year of the adidas NMD. The nomadic silhouette is also prime to takeover the coming year as well, with the unveiling of the adidas NMD R2 today.
Slightly more ambitious than its predecessor, the second-coming of the NMD is highlighted by the infusion of an engineered “shadow noise” motif across the Primeknit base. A waxed-suede heel counter adds a luxe element to the shoe, while quite possibly the model’s most alluring sartorial detail, the popular EVA plugs, have been visibility scaled back at the rear and only seen at the medial siding.
The contemporary adidas NMD R2 is set to release on December 3 at select adidas retailers and online.
