Nora Vasconcellos joined the adidas Skateboarding team back in 2017 and has gotten a few signature adidas Skateboard silhouettes with her artistic touches on them such as the adidas Gazelle ADV and Sabalo Slip-On. Now she and adidas Skateboarding are leveling up and are set to debut her signature sneaker, the adidas NORA by Nora Vasconcellos.

“I’m so proud and excited to share my new silhouette with the world. It has been an unreal experience working with adidas to make my dream come true,” says Nora Vasconcellos. “I originally looked into adidas’ tennis classics to find an aesthetic that I would have found in my mom’s closet back in the ‘90s, which was my biggest inspiration for the pack. Designing the pieces has been an incredible and in-depth process filled with excitement and gratitude. I hope this collection inspires everyone to pursue the things they may think are unattainable. Having my own shoe was so beyond my wildest dreams.”

The adidas NORA looks to be taking inspiration from the adidas Rod Laver, an iconic tennis and now lifestyle silhouette using mesh on the base of the upper with leather on the toebox and lace overlays and suede seen around the toecap for durability. The 3 Stripes appear on the medial and lateral sides with NORA printed in gold foil on the lateral side. The Trefoil is seen on the tongue tag and adidas branding embossed on the cupsole midsole that is giving off a vulcanized aesthetic with a herringbone and radial pattern on the outsole to finish off the sneaker.

The adidas NORA by Nora Vasconcellos is set to drop in 3 colorways on October 1st via adidas.com/skateboarding and at adidas Skateboarding retailers for $80 with an accompanying gender-neutral apparel collection dropping at a later date.
