In 2007, adidas applied a stingray-textured makeup to the Official (classic Stan Smith) model as part of the “Animal” pack. The storied brand uses the stingray material again; this time, on this adidas Stan Smith which is set to release in March of 2011. This Stan Smith actually features more stingray material than the aforementioned Official. Black stingray texture is applied to the predominance of the upper including the toe, tongue and heel, while the heel tab is done up in black suede. To coincide with the latter area, this Stan Smith also sports black laces and laceholders of the same color. View additional photos below.
