Earlier today at the brand’s massive 747 Warehouse St takeover space for All-Star Weekend, Adidas toured us through a weaving series of innovation rooms showcasing the future of sport.

Housed in a batch of cylinders, several of the basketball group’s icons of the past were highlighted with modernized toolings, crafted via 4D printing and boldly debuted in the printed part’s unmistakable mint hue.

Featuring early models like the Pro Model, Attitude and Streetball, the turn of the millennium is also incorporated, with the KB8 II and The Kobe each included as well.

Last but not least, a modern, fully laceless 4D Basketball silhouette was unveiled. There’s no word just yet on what the shoe is even called, when it might release, or any future details. Perhaps we can call it FutureCraft 4D BB for now.

“It’s a concept car, really,” described our tour guide Nic Galway.

Check out each 4D printed basketball sample below, and stay tuned for more exclusive looks at the Adidas 747 Warehouse St space. Be sure to check us out on Instagram for real-time updates throughout the day.
