For hoopers of a certain generation, the adidas Pro Model 2G was the go-to hoop shoe as the sneaker was priced moderately and came in a bevy of colorways that matched your uniforms. Candace Parker knows. Nick Young knows. And LeBron James was no exception as he did wear the sneaker during his tenure at St. Vincent St. Mary’s High School and adidas is bringing the sneaker back with some updates just in time for All-Star Weekend in his home state of Ohio.

The sneaker features a forest green patent leather upper with gold accents, as it fits the colors of the St. Vincent St. Mary’s Fighting Irish. The 3 Stripes appear in gold as well as the Pro Model branding on the lateral side and adidas added in “CLASS OF 2003” above the 3 Stripes as that’s the year LeBron graduated and got selected first overall in 2003. adidas branding is also found on the tongue and heel, with the Superstar toecap seen in green. Bounce cushioning replaces adiprene+ which was used on the OG and a herringbone outsole in green and white finishes off the sneaker.

The adidas Pro Model 2G “SVSM” is scheduled to release on February 17th via adidas.com and at select retailers with a price tag that is still unknown. Check out the official photos below as well as LeBron wearing the OG pair below during his time at St. Vincent St. Mary’s.
