Runners are often the most fearless athletes of all, training on harsh plains with inclement weather pouring from above. Adidas today reveals the latest addition to the PureBOOST family aided to assist the ultimate urban runner — the PureBOOST DPR.
Engineered for street running no matter the conditions, the shoe’s one-piece circular knit upper is constructed low and wide with foundational Boost cushioning enhanced with an 8mm heel-to-toe offset that releases energy at an increased rate. Newly agile with bolstered adaptive design features, urban running grows more simplistic with the introduction of this new PureBOOST.
“All over the world, runners are exploring cities and expressing their own creativity in the routes they choose and the challenges they take on,” remarked Stephan Schneider, product manager at adidas Global Running. “We wanted to build something purely designed for this type of runner, and loved the idea of creating a more adaptive running experience. This led us to design an 8mm heel-to-offset, that when paired with signature BOOST technology allows the feet to sit lower, deeper, and much closer to the streets.”
The adidas PureBOOST DPR will be available beginning on May 18 for $150. LTD editions will be priced at $170. All pairs will be available at adidas.
