The World Cup is fast approaching. Nike and Reebok have both now put out their own sneakers for the tournament, and adidas gave us four AdiFC renditions, but these two pairs are the firsts to use the classic Samba soccer sneaker as a canvas for patriotism. The pair dedicated to the American squad relies on black leather for its upper. Suede is fitted to the toe. White stripes and the heel panel match up with the sole, while gold foil text labels the shoe along one of the stripes. A button displaying the American flag can be found just below the top eyelet. The pair designed for the German squad uses the same material choices as the American pair, but uses red for its upper and gum for the sole. Both are available now at select retailers, including HUF. |
