adidas Skateboarding Pro team rider and Nothing Special hardware founder Diego Nájera co-designed and reinterpreted adidas Forum 84 Mid and built it for skateboarding. The adidas Forum has been around for over 3 decades and this is the first time the classic basketball sneaker has been taken on by adidas Skateboarding and been updated and enhanced for specific tuning for skateboarding such as stability, breathability, and extended durability.
The sneaker is inspired by Diego’s passion for the car tuning culture along with his Los Angeles upbringing. The upper uses a white premium grade leather and tumbled leather on the toebox with two shades of grey suede utilized on the lace overlays. The quarter paneling features mesh panels with the 3 Stripes overlaid in sky blue. Nájera’s custom touches include a velcro strap that’s removable, ice blue accents seen on the tongue tag and strap, and translucent paneling around the heel. The Forum 84 ADV sits on a white rubber cupsole with an icy blue outsole with Diego’s signature placed on the bottom of the outsole.
The adidas Skateboarding x Forum 84 ADV by Diego Nájera will retail for $110 and will drop on July 24th at 10 AM EST via the adidas Confirmed app and select skate retailers worldwide. Check out the editorial and official photos below featuring Diego himself.
