With soccer being the world’s most popular sport by leaps-and-bounds, the desire for iconic footwear brands to enhance their namesake with notable athletes is paramount. adidas has captured that notion in stellar ways as their previous work with the likes of Messi and David Beckham has seemingly solidified their roster. However, adidas is nowhere near done as they have recently announced a partnership with soccer superstar Paul Pogba.
In a deal that will secure the star for many years to come, Pogba will be able to expand his creative talents and elevate his brand along with adidas, as the duo is set to embark upon many engagements and product launches. Further cementing his decision, Pogba would state: “This is the first sponsor contract I’ve signed and it’s a very important decision for me. I chose adidas because we have shared passions and values. adidas has the same vibe as I do, on and off the pitch.”
All in all, both sides seem excited to build upon this tenure and the first silhouette that Pogba will sport is the exclusive ACE 16+ PURECONTROL model. This is the first laceless soccer boot that will allow for optimal control and comfort. Pogba’s PE will arrive in hues of black and gold.
