With a big anniversary year in store for the Superstar 80s, adidas Originals looks to their celebrated Blue imprint for a bold new take on the classic style. Utilizing a striking wrinkled gold leather throughout the body, the toe features metal gold implementation while black Three Stripes work the paneling. A mesh lining ensures comfort is at a premium along with more dark coloring at the laces and heel. Surely some will say this is adidas’ answer to Nike’s “Liquid Metal” designs– and maybe it is. That, however, doesn’t make them any less great. Look for the release at premium retailers in late March.
