Last night, Adidas hosted an exclusive show and concert to celebrate the LA launch of the NMD. It all took place at a hidden warehouse in East LA where the limited list of guests were treated to gourmet food and drinks, an interactive NMD experience and a live show featuring Grammy-Award winning artist Miguel with opening performances by Shlohmo and Kilo Kish.
The warehouse filled and the energy level grew as the sun dipped down over the skyline of Downtown Los Angeles. As attendees and anticipation bubbled, the crowd was composed of artists, creatives and other industry movers, further providing the opportunity for forward thinkers and go-getters to connect. The atmosphere was electric as the buzz built for both the show and the shoe launch.
Amongst attendees, it was clear that Adidas and the NMD silo are both on fire. While heads brought out some solid releases by the Three Stripes, the Adidas NMD showed up in a big way. From the OG colorway to the Nice Kicks collab, the Adidas NMD was worn by more people than any other shoe of the night.
Over the course of the past week, “Explore, Discover, Experience” has served as the three word mission statement for the Adidas NMD. What’s that looked like in action? Exploring the city for the hunt of hidden Adidas NMDs. Discovering what the city has to offer from food, to sports, to entertainment while hunting across the city. Lastly, experiencing an incredible event that only the ones in the know can be a part of.
This week’s series of events and activations by the brand reaffirm the sentiment amongst many that Adidas truly understands and speaks to the consumer.
Solid work, Adidas.
