German giant adidas is stepping up its sustainability game, having just introduced its new adidas TERREX PROTOHYPE trail running series.
The sustainable collection features three new eco-friendly silhouettes, all designed to take on the trails with style. The high-performance, versatile trail running shoes were created with insights from top trail-runners. The range is comprised of the Terrex TWO Ultra Parley and the Terrex TWO Parley from its Trails Without Obstacles range and the Agravic Boa.
First up, the Terrex TWO Ultra Parley is designed for long-distance running and is built with a snug fit. It is equipped with a Continental rubber outsole for improved grip, plush Boost cushioning and breathable knit uppers made from Parley ocean plastic.
The Terrex TWO Parley is designed for less technical mid to long trail runs and features a wide toe box for comfort and stability. Its upper is also crafted from Parley ocean plastic and includes the brand’s Lightstrike technology and Continental rubber outsoles.
Finally, the Agravic Boa comes with a customizable Boa closure system and is water-resistant. Most notably, its upper is made using a dope dye technique meant to conserve energy and water use.
The adidas TERREX PROTOHYPE will be dropping sometime this month at select adidas retailers and adidas.com. The adidas TERREX TWO Ultra Parley will retail for $200, the adidas TERREX TWO Parley for $170, and the adidas TERREX Agravic BOA for $160.
