Following a debut in February 2009, the adidas SLVR line has been suspended. Reported today by Sportswear International, this high-end fashion sector of the adidas brand saw a range of silos release over the past few years, drawing inspiration from the likes of basketball shoes, dress shoes and more, engineered with a casual aesthetic. A spokesperson from adidas released the following statement:
“From spring 2014, adidas will introduce a new approach to sophisticated sportswear within the Sport Style sub-brand, which will exclusively be available for friends and partners of the adidas family.”
While we’re excited to see the continued work of adidas in the high-end fashion space with Jeremy Scott, Raf Simons and Rick Owens, we still would’ve loved to see the SLVR Primeknits hit the States. Stay tuned to Nice Kicks for more information on upcoming lines from adidas Originals.
