At the beginning of this year, adidas released a Top Ten model in honor of its 30-year presence (the Top Ten first released in 1979). Ten months later, we have now spotted a second colorway of the Top Ten at select retailers including Wish for $94. It features a predominately black full grain leather upper with minimal red and blue accent designs on the heel. However, one of the more interesting features on this shoe is the gradient-like design seen throughout the bottom half of the shoe. It also contains a 100% rubber sole. If you recall, the Adidas Top Ten was a very popular sneaker in 1979 when it debuted. Former basketball superstar Rick Barry helped Adidas create this classic. Its name draws inspiration from the top 10 players at that time such as Doug Collins, Marques Johnson, Kermit Washington, Adrian Dantley, Bob Lanier, Bobby Jones, Billy Knight, Sidney Wicks, Mitch Kupchak and Kevin Grevey. Isaiah Thomas also wore the Top Ten sneaker when he played for Indiana in college. Click here to view detailed photos. |
