Although the hype surrounding adidas’s UltraBoost silhouette has died down a bit since its introduction back in 2015, the Three Stripes continues to revamp the cult classic model. Set to drop this month is a vibrant “Solar Yellow” Ultraboost 1.0 DNA.
The adidas UltraBoost 1.0 DNA “Solar Yellow” is constructed with Primeblue, a high-performance recycled material made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic. With no virgin polyester being used, 50% of the sneaker’s upper is textile, while 75% of the textile is Primeblue yarn. The “Solar Yellow” hue is featured throughout the upper and is carried onto the matching heel counter, inner liner, laces, and Boost-assisted midsole. Rounding out the details is a translucent lace cage, 3M reflective tongue tabs, and white Continental rubber outsoles.
The adidas UltraBoost 1.0 DNA “Solar Yellow” is expected to release in Asia on January 27. A stateside drop will follow soon after at select retailers and adidas.com. The retail price is set t $180.
