Activewear, an adoring and emerging sub-genre in fashion, takes an avant garde turn for the better with Yohji Yamamoto’s aggressive and defiant debut Y-3 Sport collection.
Taking an innovative approach towards activewear with inspiration from New York City’s renegade aesthetic, Y-3 Sport provides an edgier sartorial component to essential training gear. Adizero and Techfit technologies – after being rigorously tested – enhance extreme performance while coincidently expressing contemporary styling.
“Y-3 is Sport. It is the brand’s central essence and inspiration,” remarked Yamamoto, “and the reason I approached adidas in 2000 to collaborate together. We want to be bold. This will define a new chapter in our 15 year history together.”
Pricing for men’s apparel and footwear ranges from $150-$880, with the women’s collection ranging from $105-$690. Y-3 Sport’s inaugural collection is available now at select premium retailers globally.
