Y-3 has always captivated the market through innovative takes using Three Stripes technology. One notable example of this in the past was the Y-3 Pure Boost ZG Knit, which took over the internet when seen on the feet of current adidas Basketball head designer and Fear of God director Jerry Lorenzo. Now, the upper-echelon Japanese collaborative label is using Carbon’s digital light synthesis to create the adidas Y-3 Runner 4D IO “Triple Black.”
The sleek runner profile features a two-layer upper, with a jet-black layer masking the mesh base. Beneath the covering, the Y-3 Runner has a removable Primeknit sock that provides added comfort. White accents that spell “Y-3 adidas | YOHJI YAMAMOTO” contrast the dark silhouette. Underfoot, black lattices comprise the 4D base.
The adidas Y-3 Runner 4D IO “Triple Black” is available now on HBX for $603 USD. Keep it locked to Nice Kicks for all of your sneaker information.
